ACCESS
1. By Train
From Odakyu Line Machida Station (The East Exit): 15-minute on foot
After going through the East Gate, turn right and turn left at the end. Ascend the stairs and go out of the East Exit, where the koban (police box) is located.
- Turn right (opposite to the railway crossing) and go straight.
- Turn left at the first traffic signal and go along Haramachida-odori Street.
- Reaching Machida-kaido Avenue, cross the intersection and turn right.
- At the second street corner (by the parking lot TIMES), turn left and go straight into Serigaya Park. Descend the stairs, the museum is on the right side.
From JR Yokohama Line Machida Station (The Central Exit): 15-minute on foot
After going through the Central Gate, turn right.
- Go straight, descend the slope of the pedestrian overpass and go along Haramachida-odori Street.
- Reaching Machida-kaido Avenue, cross the intersection and turn right.
- At the second street corner (by the parking lot TIMES), turn left and go straight into Serigaya Park. Descend the stairs, the museum is on the right side.
Guests coming via Shinkansen may find it convenient to transfer at Shin-Yokohama Station.
From JR Yokohama Line Machida Station (The Terminal Exit): 12-minute on foot
After going through the Terminal Gate, turn right at the end.
- Turn left at the open area (the first corner), descend the stairs and go along the street.
- Reaching Machida-kaido Avenue, you will find Hanga bijutsukan intersection.
- Cross the intersection, go straight and descend the steep slope. The museum is on the left side. As the slope is very steep, please watch your step.
Guests coming via Shinkansen may find it convenient to transfer at Shin-Yokohama Station.
2. By Car
From Tomei Expressway Machida Interchange
At Yokohama-Machida Interchange, take National Highway No.16 toward Hachioji. Reaching National Highway No.246 at Tomei intersection, turn right toward Shibuya. Go straight about 300 m to Machidashi tsuji intersection (or Machida-kaido Avenue entrance), turn left and go along the avenue about 5 km. At Sazuka intersection turn right to Naruse-kaido Avenue and go straight about 300 m. Turn left at Kogasaka intersection and turn left again the first corner, where the convenience store is on the right-hand. The museum is about 300 m ahead along the street.
From Hachioji
Take Machida-kaido Avenue toward Yokohama. Go through Asahimachi intersection, Hanga bijutsukan intersection is about 1.5km ahead. Turn right at Hanga bijutsukan intersection and go down the slope (with caution as the street narrows). The museum is on the left side.
Caution: Large buses are prohibited from turning Hanga bijutsukan intersection. Turn at Sazuka intersection about 550m ahead. Then follow the instruction mentioned above.
